Getting Ready in the Barn
Sophia spent the morning tucked inside Vista View Events’ beautiful getting-ready space with her bridesmaids in sleek black silk robes. There was a calm, joyful energy as they popped champagne, laughed together, and shared a sweet first look with Sophia.

Dawson and the guys brought the Western Formal energy: bolo ties, cowboy hats, boots, and big smiles. This group knew how to have fun, and it showed. Their style perfectly reflected the couple’s vision—classic, elevated, and full of personality.

First Look & Private Vows by the Barn
One of the most heartfelt moments of the day was Sophia and Dawson’s first look outside the white barn. They held each other tight, shared a few teary laughs, and then read personal vows just the two of them. It was quiet and sacred—an anchor in the middle of the day’s excitement. As two people who are naturally more introverted, having a moment to be present together immediately put them at ease. Quality time with your partner can be hard to come by on wedding day, so little moments like these hold so much meaning.

Wedding Party Portraits in Front of the Venue
After their first look, we gathered the full wedding party in front of Vista View Events for portraits. The bridesmaids were glowing in black satin gowns, carrying bold and colorful bouquets that popped beautifully against the white barn and natural surroundings. The groomsmen brought the cowboy charm, and together the whole crew looked straight out of an editorial. Chic, bold, and ready to celebrate.

A Ceremony Overlooking the Lake & Mountains
The ceremony site at Vista View Events sits behind the barn, offering sweeping views of the lake and Colorado mountains. Sophia and Dawson’s ceremony was framed by floral pillars of wild, vibrant blooms that brought color and texture to the lakeside setting. Guests were able to relax and enjoy the breeze, the sun, and the stunning natural beauty as the couple said “I do.” It was peaceful, heartfelt, and deeply personal.

Cocktail Hour & Toasts with a View
After the ceremony, guests were invited to the lawn and patio area behind the barn for cocktail hour. With a direct view of the lake and mountains, and a soft golden light hitting the white barn behind them, it was the perfect in-between moment to enjoy a drink and soak in the scenery.
Inside, the reception kicked off with emotional, hilarious, and thoughtful toasts from the maid of honor, best man, and father of the bride. Everyone in the room felt the love as laughter filled the air.

Golden Hour Portraits in the Field
Right after dinner, we snuck away to a nearby field for golden hour portraits—and honestly, this may have been my favorite part of the day. The light was soft and warm, the grass was lush and green, and Sophia and Dawson had a quiet moment just the two of them. Nothing but pure joy. These are the photos that will live rent free in my mind long after wedding day. The photos where you can truly feel the love and emotion.

Dancing Under the Stars
To wrap up the night, the barn transformed into an open-air dance party. Guests moved between the inside and outside spaces effortlessly, drinks in hand and stars overhead. The bride got lifted in the air, the groomsmen shotgunned beers, and the energy never let up.
The open layout of Vista View Events gave everyone space to breathe, wander, and fully enjoy the celebration. It was high-energy, heartfelt, and the perfect end to a perfectly them wedding.
